When an aircraft’s position places it in a risk situation with another aircraft or airspace. It is predicted conflict within URET CCLD (user request evaluation tool core capability limited deployment), an automated tool provided at each radar associate position in selected en route facilities. The tool utilizes flight and radar data to determine present and future trajectories for all active and proposed aircraft, and it provides enhanced, automated flight data management of two aircraft, or between an aircraft and airspace. A red alert is sounded if the predicted minimum separation between two aircraft is 5 NM or less. A yellow alert means the predicted minimum separation is more than 5 up to and including 12 NM. A blue alert means a conflict situation exists between the aircraft and predefined airspace.
